Your heroism and service is honored today, the 69th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

In honor of my great grandfather:
Although not many people now have met my great grandfather, but that doesnt stop me from still talking to him. From stories i have heard from my grandpa, Wade Hodder, to my mom, Amy Hodder, To my older sister, Brielle, and now to me. All of the stories i have heard about him were all very different about him. They have all said he was brave, a great leader, and also very kind and pleasant. I belive what everyone says because they all say the same but different. I like that the town has also made a street in honor of you. This makes me think even more about how i should grow up and who i would like to be. Many people right off the bat want to be a vet or a doctor, not police because they thinlk they will get hurt. Obviesly that is true if you ever were face to face with a criminal. You are so amazing and i would love to follow your foot steps and wear your bag when i become an officer just like you. I wish i could have met you in any way so i could say one thing to you and that would be love and respect.

Though we have never met we are bonded forever. All of my life I have wanted nothing more than to honor you and your memory. I hoped that some day I could wear your badge number now I hope my children can follow in your brave footsteps and be the officer that you were. Guide them and protect them like you protected my father throughout the years. My love and respect for you will live on forever.
Love, your grandaughter Amy
