Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Michael Scott Welcker

I had just Graduated the Academy and was starting the hire proccess when you went down. Being assigned to West Patrol i often think of you when i'm in Taylorsville, walking in to the substation that bears your Name. God willing we will never bury another Deputy and have to rename another building in his Honor. It's good to know you are in heaven with our father. God Bless you Deputy Welker. 10-42

Deputy
Salt Lake County Sheriff

If all the world was ours to give
We would give it, yes and more
see you coming up the steps
And walking thru the door
To hear your voice, to see your smile
To sit and talk with you awhile
To be with you in the same old way
That would be our fondest day
A heart of gold stopped beating
Two smiling eyes closed to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best

POST GRADUATE

"Step forward now, policeman,
You've borne your burdens well,
Come walk a beat on heaven's street,
You've done your time in hell."
