This day never gets easier daddy. Man what I would give to be able to change that fateful morning, You were taken so young and way too soon. I hope you are proud of all of us. You now have 2 great grandbabies Ryan & Charlotte (Charlie). The girls turned out to be such great mama's. The world has gone absolutely crazy right now and gotten super scary, Please Please Please you and mom keep your arms around our babies and keep them safe. Give mama a hug for me......

On this anniversary of your EOW, I want you to know you will never be forgotten. I did not know you personally but through the eyes of those who did I know you were a fine Deputy. Rest easy friend.

That faithful morning you left a lot of folks in tears and shock. Family and friends alike. Time is said to heal all wounds but sometimes if a wound is deep enough it needs special care to heal. You left way too young and without goodbyes. Today you are a memory for family and friends to remember as a kind and loving man, brother dad, husband and granddad. See ya later big brother.

You are not forgotten today on this mournful anniversary, nor will you ever be. Thank you for your service to our community.

You shall live in the hearts of those who loved you, those who admired you, and those you helped in their times of need; thus you will never be forgotten.

Most respectfully Deputy Yates, although I never knew you, I dedicate this day to your memory.

On my mind a lot lately, 22 years has passed and it still feels as if it was yesterday, I guess you know, I had the minor stroke, trying to change things to be around for the kids and grand kids, struggling with the smoking as you did, but I'm not giving up! Send me some of your strength Big Brother, love and miss you much!

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 18th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never dimishes respect, and your memory will always be honored and revered. I pray for the solace of all those who love and remember him for I know both the pain and pride are forever. I hold his family in my heart's embrace today and thank them for sharing thier never-ending devotion to their husband, father, and brother.

Rest In Peace
