Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Joseph Arthur Harnest

I never knew my grandparents but when I started working on Ancestry, I "met" them in a sense. I didn't know my grandfather was a deputy or that he died while investigating a robbery. I have a new found sense of pride in him. His son was Johnny Eugene and I am his granddaughter, Sherri. By the way, I was born on his birthday.

I never knew my Grandfather or my Grandmother. He was killed long before I was born. She died during childbirth before I was born also.
I just want to let him know, his oldest daughter, Irene would be 102 on Jan. 4th.
However she died 5 days before.
