Grandpa Harless, I never knew how you passed until yesterday when my aunt told me. I would have loved to have met you. I'm sure you'd be proud of all your kids because they're all good people. I'm proud to be your grand daughter. May you rest in peace. A-Harless p.s. You look just like my dad Lynn.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 44th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I hope one day to meet some of your family at a NORCAL COPS function.

Rest In Peace

We have never met, however I am very proud to be a part of your legacy. You gave your life to save many. We will always be in your debt. Many, many years have past and there are still articles written about you. I took my children to see the park that was dedicated in your honor. Say hi to nana she is with you now. Love Trissy

Dear Officer Harless,

Today, the City of Riverbank will dedicate a beautiful brand new city park in your honor and memory. This neighborhood park, which bears your name, will forever memorialize the ultimate sacrifice you made to protect the citizens of Riverbank. It is obvious that the citizens revered you as a law man; that 42 years following your departure from this world, the community still pays homage to your memory. You would be proud to know that the Riverbank community appreciates, supports, and stands with their law enforcement servants. Thank you for your service to Riverbank.

Signed,

The Men and Women of the Riverbank Police Services

Lt. Tim Beck, Chief of Police

Grandpa I never got the chance to meet you, you were taken before i was born. But just know you have influenced my life in so many ways. From the first time I saw your picture on my dads wall i knew i wanted to be a police officer. Well my dream came true I'm now with the Department Of Homeland Security. Thank you, I will always miss you.
