I hope what occurred today, even though the act will never bring your loved one back, brings you a step closer to peace. Unfortunately it won't matter whatsoever to the family of the killer.

In the name of many mexicans living in Mexico, that think our government should had sent condolences to his family instead of asking for mercy for a cop killer. Im so sorry for your loss, shame on my country that tries to defend irresponsible human beings like Tamayo was. Justice was served, I wish my country would take the trash out like the US does.

Officer Guy Gaddis - may you rest in peace now, your murderer has paid the price for taking your life and breaking your family's heart. I hope Tamayo had time to repent for his crime. His poor family must also be devastated as this crime was no fault of theirs. may you all find peace.

Last night, January 22, 2014 Officer Gaddis' family received justice for his murder so many years ago. There has been much debate/delays over the past twenty years by misguided anti-death penalty advocates to delay this killers execution. Thank God the leaders of Texas believe in enforcing their laws and carrying out the penalties. It is time for the family to rest. They have suffered much. In time Guy will meet the child he never knew. Be at peace brother.

Justice was done for you today, Guy. I was in the HPD academy when you were murdered. Your murder was not in vain as it saved many future officers' lives. Rest in peace, now, sir.

Guy Gaddis - last night after nearly 20 years, your family finally recieved justice! Your brothers in blue with HPD reved their motorcycle engines until the walls at the Walls Unit shook in your honor. Your death has haunted me since that fateful day in 1994, just because of the tragic circumstances that occurred. God Bless you and your loved ones, and I'm sorry that you had to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Officer Guy P. Gaddis, Honored devotee to mankind. Your place at the right hand of God is secure, your place in the hearts and minds of those who loved you, who knew you, who stood with you and like me, who never had the honor of knowing you is assured. Know that the life you lived and the lives you touched will carry on, in your name and in your honor. Today, dawn breaks over a world better for your time here and better for the removal of your killer. A life taken is not a replacement for a life lost. But a life taken for a life stolen is Justice. Rest in peace, Officer Gaddis. I hope there is some solace for the hurting hearts of your loved ones.

No words can ever express, the lost of a priceless gift of life such as Mr. Gaddis. God be with you and your family.
It is a shame the horrible act that Mr. Tamayo did, its a shame for our Hispanic community.
My prayers to Mr., Gaddis' Family.

May God now serve justice also today with Mr. Tamayo.

God how I love Texas and respect the values of the South! They stand by their police officers. I hope the Gaddis family and his friends at HPD find peace, now that his killer has been executed. I am embarrassed by my liberal State's former Senator.

God bless you and your family. Can you imagine all the life he has missed--he missed meeting his first and only child, missed growing old with his wife, missed growing his family and making memories that would have impacted so many people. And for what? What gave this man the right to kill an entire human being who mattered--whom had a family who depended on him. They had to do life without him. Its insulting--the signature to stay this execution--yes, sickening. As if his life meant nothing and all and we should forget that Guy once lived, breathed, loved and laughed and it was all cut short because of one person who views life delicately at best. May God give Guy's family strength and some kind of healing tonight. I give no condolences to the murderer.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Officer Gaddis. I can't imagine the pain you've experienced over the last twenty years awaiting closure by the execution of his cold-blooded murderer. Justice delayed is not justice denied. Please take solace in the fact that Officer Gaddis will NEVER be forgotten and will ALWAYS be a hero!

I worked with people coming over from Mexico. My question to some of them was "what can be done in Mexico to help the fight against the vicious cartels?" The surprising answer from some of them was, "enact the death penalty in Mexico!" Why did we wait so long to execute this murderer? Where Guy is, this animal can not go. Good riddance to a cold blooded killer. He is getting his comeuppance at this time. (Cristobal Lopez)
