Your heroism and service is honored today, the 105th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was murdered on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

There are heroes who walk among us
never looking for glory or praise
They don't seek recognition
for their thoughtful, caring ways.
Living lives of deep commitment
providing for those they hold dear
Steadfast with a quiet strength
through times of laughter and tears.
You were a person like that to us.
The most selfless man by far
So Chief Hamrick, I'd like to thank you
For being the HERO that you were. Thank you for your sacrifice to our City. You are not forgotten. Watch over your Troops, we will see you someday on the "Beat" of Heaven.
