Reflections for Patrolman Frederick Raymond Haller

To my neighbors-my classmate friend. Mr Fred Haller’s death was the most horrific news. It has affected me my entire life. His daughter Karen was my best friend and I experienced the pain with that family. I was nine years old, but remember his infectious smile and spirit. Thank you Mr Haller for your service and sacrifice. You and your family meant alot to me and will forever . Rest in Peace beautiful soul.

Grampa Haller I wish your grand children Joshua James Haller, Gary Raymond Haller Jr and Justin Marie Haller Craig could have met you. You would be so proud of your Grandkids and great Grandkids. I wish I would have been able to also have met you. I was fortunate enough to have met Great Grandpa Haller.
Love, Freida Haller

If you would like a copy of the pictures I would be happy to send them to you. Please contact me at [email protected] or [email protected] and request a copy. I would be very interested to add a date to the 3 pictures I have on Fred Raymond Haller. If you would be willing to share the last known picture of Fred Raymond Haller please send it to the email address listed above.
Thank-you for your kind words. His smile is full of promise and it is so sad he was killed in the line of duty.

We lived two doors down from the Haller family when Fred was murdered. Susan and I were only a grad apart in elementary school at the time and played together as children. I’ve often thought about them and what their lives were after his death. I send love and prayers to the family and fond remembrances.

Susan Haller Dannelley
and Sonny's family....

I grew up in the extended Haller family and visited Uncle Fred and Lena, and then Lydia, many times over the years. I was too young to know your dad and understand what happened, but the hole left in this family was huge.

Thank you for your father's and grandfather's service and your dad's ultimate sacrifice. He is truly not forgotten.

I have laid down my life in service to all of you.
I have been a part of the fabric that has held the line between your safety and your victimization. I have given my life so that others may live in peace. I have lived my life as a dedicated member of the greatest profession. There is no greater honor.

As I now become a part of the rich history of law enforcement, please remember me always for I have left behind those who loved and depended upon me.
My partners and my agency, please remember my family, their loss, and don’t let time soften your compassion for them.

You guard the gate now and I will continue my watch from above.

MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND MAY YOUR FAMILY FIND COMFORT IN THE GOOD YOU HAVE DONE HERE ON EARTH.

I worked with Freddy Haller as a Reserve Officer and was working the night he was killed. He was a likable man and Officer. His father was a Traffic Sgt. in the same P.D. at the time of his death...

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 48th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I hope one day to meet one of your family members at a meeting of our NorCal COPS chapter.
