Rest in Peace, Sergeant Guest. Your sacrifice is not forgotten.

Officer 11169

February 9, 2012

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 183rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I was saddened to see that Christmas Day is the eow for so many, many officers. Rest In Peace.

On June 17, 2010, a large F4 tornado traveled through Wadena, MN, along the city cemeteries. Sgt Cyril Guest's tombstone was spared any damage as well as our Officer Peter Resch's monument of the Wadena Police Department. In May 2011, local officers presented flags and memorials to both officers tombstones during Law Enforcement month.
We are honored to present and remember both officers who rest in Wadena, Minnesota.

Sergeant Guest, you will not be forgotten.

I saw the plaque at the corner of Douglas Road and Alhambra Circle in memory of Sergeant Guest and was moved to find out what happened to him. Thank you Sergeant Guest for your service of the City of Coral Gables.
