I want to honor Officer Griffin today for his heroism and bravery this day while escorting 4 criminals to the jail. It is especially unfortunate that this killer should have been behind bars to begin with. Thank you for your willingness to serve and for putting yourself on the line for the greater good. There is no higher calling, and you are remembered today. Love and kind thoughts to your family.

Ret. Reserve Officer, WA State

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 83rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Looking at your picture, I can see you were a handsome young man...how your mother must have missed her cherished child.

Rest In Peace.

No officer should be without a reflection. This almost sounds like a movie. I'm sure back in the 1920's, police work was quite different. Police work progresses with the change in times and society. Your ability to shoot despite your mortal wounds is proof to all us out there taht sheer will can work miracles. The power of prayer, the power of "I"m not going to die", can move mountains at times. You're not forgotten, Ofc. Griffin. Your picture shows how human you were. Let's not forget.
