Ocie Gray was born in Floydada TX. Apr.12 th 1929 .
His father was Cecil L Gray his mother was Lorena Gray He had and older sister Mona Gray. The moved to Magdalena NM USA to a,ranch. He went to New,Mexico Military Insy. Graduated in 1948. Entered the,army Oct 26th 1950. Came out as Master Sargent with the,179th infantry. Aug.13 1952. He started at New Mexico State university he,graduated Aug 1958 a degree in Biology. He went to work for NM STATE GAME AND FISH. 7 1959. HE was killef Jan 4 1960. Buried in So Park Cemetery Roseell NM USA.

You are thought about daily and always have been.
Though we would have had 62 years together. And I am 82 yrs,old I still have that love for you . I can see you as an elderly man in his 90s. I watched your father and mother until he died in 1995. Ans your mother until she went to meet the two of you.
They were,the,sweest couple. She still rode next to him in the pickup. Such wonderful people.

Its been 58 yrs and not a,day goes,by but what I dont think of you and mourn what was,lost that Monday.
. Only you and I know what could have been.
God has his,reasons.
Till we meet again my love and respect for who you were and what you gave to our country are foremost in my thoughts. I thank God daily for putting you in my life for that short time.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 52nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
