I know Uncle Charles through stories from my mama and soties form my grandaprents when I was little. I also remember the Granite Monument that stood out in front of Post 14 Donalsonville comemorating all of the troopers that lost their lives in that accident. Proud to be related to Sgt Charles Gray. He was my second Uncle, brother to my grandmother. Paul Cross, Sugar Hill, Ga.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 52nd anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Sergeant Gray,
You are one of the elite group of men whose life was lost while serving the citizens of the State of Georgia as Georgia State Trooper. You knew the danger of serving, you took the risk anyway, you paid the ultimate price. I thank you Sir. You deserve the honor and respect of all.

"Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours;and their works do follow them." (Revelation 14:13)

Members of my family are and have been with GSP. No officer should not have a reflection. God bless you and all others who have passed before and since. You are not forgotten
