Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer John Williamson

Sleep safe with Our Lord and may He Bless your family.

October 8, 2006

John and I were childhood friends that grew up in Jackson Heights, Queens. I had heard of the incident when it happened, but it wasn't until a few years after that I learned from a mutual friend that it was you.

I too have worked the Highbridge/Morris Heights neighborhood, and each time I respond to an assignment at Richmond Plaza, you come to mind. I always look up. We always look up. Rest assured that a valuable lesson was learned by your death.

On this day when we honor hundreds of our fallen commrades, I wanted to pass by your page to say hello.

I'll see you when I see you.

Rest in peace, buddy.

John was a very good friend of mine, we shared a lot of laughs and good times together. Although he is not with us on earth, he remains a part of my everyday life. Rest In Peace

Officer Williamson,
On today, the 12th anniversary of your death, I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice to the citizens of New York City. If you ask me, a 5-15 year sentence is a disgrace-that piece of scum should have at least got 25-life.

To Officer Williamson's Family, It broke my heart when I read your loved ones story. This officers story was one of the saddest I have read. What a horrible act. I am so glad that scum is no longer able to walk on the outside again. Although I believe he should have received the death sentance. We will always remember.

In loving memory of P.O. John Williamson: Oh, this is so very sad even though it happened many years ago. You were so young when you began your career and were way too young to die. I'm glad they extradicted the hoodlum. What a senseless act with such destructive and devastating results. I wish I could think of something to say to comfort you, but realize this is a God size task. He is the Healer and Redeemer. I pray that He holds you in the palm of His hand and supplies all your needs in Christ Jesus. He loves you so very, very much and He feels your sorrow as much as you do. May His presence be very real to all of you in your season of grief. God bless. Thank you John for your 4 dedicated years of faithful service!

John was a very good friend of mine from the day he came to PSA 6 until the day he was taken from us. I have enjoyed countless good times with John, his partner Chris and our friends. I know it has been said before but John was truly liked by all and he was a very good cop who really cared. He did make a difference and he will live forever in my heart. John I miss you dearly and not one day passses when you are not thought of. Thank you for being my guardian angel.
