Reflections for Officer Larry Joe Jaramillo

Officer Jaramillo was an Academy classmate of mine. He was our classes' oldest cadet. He also earned the award for being the best athlete. He was a former Marine. He was a quiet spiritual man. His wife June was also a quiet person. Larry's death was a shock to us all. I feel confident that his family will be taken care of and that his life positively impacted many. 2005 would have marked Larry's 20th year. God bless the Jaramillo family and the CHP.

I thank you for your service and salute you for your sacrifice.

A grateful citizen.

My neighbor, a friend, a wonderful father. Larry had a heart of gold and lived to fly. His love of life passed down to his daughters and his wife. He may have left us early, but his dedication in the air, on the ground and in his heart touched us all.

Thanks, Larry.
