Officer Fowler, I never knew you but I walk into the station day after day and read your name on a stone plaque. I lead the agency you died for and have been honored yearly to read your name at the northwest Ohio Police Memorial in May. I am honored to follow your footsteps, and it was an honor to research your story for this and other reports. Gob Bless you Sir and we try and hold to a very high standard you set.

Dear Great Uncle Neal,
I have thought about you for a long time and finally found you. I have only today seen your face. I am overcome with emotions as I look at you and read about your bravery. I am proud to be related to a hero such as you. It takes people like you and those like you, also sharing this special place, that give us all hope that there is good. I'm sorry that I never knew you, but I feel like I do.
God Bless you.
