Rest in peace Patrolman Fleming.

Dear Grandpa Dalton, I never had the chance to meet you, as you died protecting the citizens of Winter Garden while Daddy was still in school. Daddy never forgot you and made sure that your sacrifice was remembered. I will never forget and will always honor your act of heroism that fateful night 60 years ago this December.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 52nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
