Deputy Sheriff Finch,
On today, the 60th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just as a Law Enforcement Officer but for our Country as well when you served with the USMCR during World War II. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

My dad was the Georgia State Trooper C.H. Bentley that was shot and wounded that day. He continued to serve and retired in 1982 at the rank of major. I also served and retired from the Georgia State Patrol. Would love to hear from any of there families. Rest easy!
