Hello. Any information on that family genealogy would be appreciated!! My email is [email protected]

Thanks

I am married to Jose's grandson, Frank. My mother-in-law, Julia often spoke of her father. She spoke of his death, but also of her memories of his life. She was the younger daughter and was 10 when he was killed.

She spoke to me of how tall he was and how she would ride in front of him on his horse. She remembered going by horse to visit family and that it took most of the day to get there. She thinks they went to his hometown of Aibonito in the mountains. I am working on the family's genealogy for my children but haven't gotten back too far yet.

Jose is remembered by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and I will do my best to make sure he is remembered for generations to come.

Jose is my grandfather. I am also a Police Officer and live in Las Vegas. My father, Pablo Colon lives in Las Vegas also and I have a one year old son.
If anyone has any information about Jose I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank You

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 75th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I pray for solace for all who love and miss you, especially Olga.
Rest In Peace

Tomorrow I am doing a memorial service for Jose's daughter Olga. She was 12 when Jose was killed in the line of duty. Her family still remembers Jose and his sacrifice with pride and affection even these 75 years later - even those who were born many years after his death.
For those who may not know, Jose left behind a wife and six children.
May the Lord bless the memory of this fallen hero and the family that he founded.
