Reflections for Reserve Officer Lonnie Edward Howard

Lonnie was a great guy. You just really had to know him to truly appreciate him and his comitment to law enforcement. He loved being a police officer and if it wasn't for his great stories, I probably would have never pursued a career in law enforcement. Thanks Lonnie and God be with you and all of us working in law enforcement.

Lonnie was a wonderful person! He did not deserve to die at such an early age! He had only just begun! I was him fiance!
I truly miss him!

Wow...reading the small description of what happened I have to wonder if the suspect was charged. I mean, surely there was some type of charge for the murder of 2 police officers. I know it's not like he opened fire on them with an assault rifle or anything, but he still killed them as sure as if he had shot them. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the 2 officers lost. May their sacrifice never be forgotten. God Bless!!!
