May God bless you for the sacrifice you made in the name of law and order! I have been a Texas Peace Officer for 25 years in Galveston and currently serving last 10 years with your department, Texas City PD. I try to attend Galveston County Police Week Memorial every year and always proudly hold a special place in my heart when your name is called and the rose is laid down in your honor!

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 84th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never dimishes respect and your memory will always be honored and revered.

I REFLECT UPON YOUR MEMORY AND, ALTHOUGH I PATROLLED THE SAME STREETS YOU HAVE AND WORE THE SAME BADGE OF THE COMMUNITY YOU ALSO WERE SWORN TO SERVE LONG BEFORE MY TIME; I STILL APPRECIATE THE SACRIFICE YOU MADE IN DOING SO. I ALSO OFFER CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY WHO MISSES YOU. GOD BLESS YOU.
