Reflections for Patrolman Michael Erdley

Dear great-uncle Michael. I’m your brothers (Charles Erderly) granddaughter and a fellow law enforcement officer. Ironically, as I write this I’m sitting at the Westchester Police Academy going through my SRO course. I think of you often even though our paths never crossed our career path did. I’m proud of our families long line of service to our country and communities through the military and police, which you did both. Your spirit lives on in your family members and we love you.

Dear Uncle Mike, You have never been forgotten and have always been in your sister Helen, (my mother) heart. Although you only were with us for a short time (Born June 15, 1903). Your entire family were extremely proud and respectful of you by always being there for them when ever needed.
We honor your life with deepest respect. Pray God will always be there for all of us,
Nephew,

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 79th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace
