Rest in peace Sheriff Edwards.

Rabbi Lewis S. Davis

The Sheriffs of Florida and their deputies will never forget the sacrifice you and your family made to uphold our laws and protect society.

Your name has been inscribed on the Florida Sheriffs and the National Law Enforcement Memorial and in our hearts. May you forever rest in peace.

A scripture inscribed on the Florida Sheriffs Law Enforcement Memorial:

"Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called the children
of God." Matthew 5:9

My father, your Grandson Howard Edwards worked hard to get your service recognized at the Fallen Officer's Memorial in Washington DC. The family is proud of your service and I had 10 years of Service as a Peace Officer in Texas. My son Chad was born on December 14, 1988, 87 years after your passing, a fitting memorial to your service.

Gone but NEVER forgotten!!

Great Grandson

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 108th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer

So many years later and still so sad.

You fought the good fight to the very end Sheriff. Be proud, we are carrying on in your memory. Your sacrifice was not in vain and is not forgotten.

You now walk the streets of Heaven with St. Michael.

God Bless.
