Your heroism and service is honored today, the 66th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I read with interest the reflections left by Russell Michael who obviously has been very affected by his fahter's role in your death. While I personally beleive the sentence was woefully inadequate, I do appreciate Russell' s remorse for his father's action even if his father showed no remorse himself.

Rest In Peace

I'm sorry I am so late getting this to you but on December the 9Th 2008, my birthday the officers from the Mojave State police department here in California received those metals I told you about, from The Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, it was a wonderful ceremony and after words there was a tree lighting in Sacramento, in front of the state building. The officers all had ornaments with their names on them and the tree was named the tree of heroes in their honor. I feel my part in helping them to not be overlook played a part in them reciving the metals. My father passed away years ago and never said he was sorry, but I ask you forgiveness for him, may you rest in peace sir.

Chief Dornon Last night 11:45 Pm Friday the 17th of October my friend California Highway patrol officer Byron Jobe called me again this time to tell me he was informed when he entered the station for duty that The Governor of the state of California had signed off on their metals that all 8 will now be receiving their metal's of Valor.
Again I know this doesn't make right the wrong that was done to you but I promise I will do as much for police officers and their memories as I can do in your name, god bless.

Chief Dornon Today Sep 18 2008 I was approached by Officer Bryon Jobe of the California Highway patrol, A year and 3 months ago I was also approached by this officer who is a friend of mind it was at my studios office.Office Jobe told me that he and 7 other officers were looked over for metals of Valor for rescuing 4 people from sure death from an explosion at our only official national air and space port. I jump on it and worked the press all the agencies involved and today, I was told that they were now placed on the list of officers to receive their metals. My name is Russell Michael the son of one of the men convicted of your death. This doesn't make anything better but it is the best I can do for now. I never let up on those in charge of those metals.I am proud that I was able to help them. I did it to honor you and show we have remorse for your death. I will do more for fallen officers in your name. May God bless you and your family
