To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. I am privileged to pay tribute to you. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 56th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. I am sure you are proud that your family continued your legacy of protecting and serving.

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know that both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace. Rest In Peace.

Grandpop DeTulleo-Thank you for the service you provided our country and thank you for the values you taught my Dad that I will carry with me always.

Dear Dad:

I didn't know you were in the worldwide web until now. It has been over 50 years since you were taken from me and Mom. Mom is gone now but I am sure she is with you. Your Grandchildren have done well and grown into fine, hardworking adults. You would be proud of them both. Just as I am proud to be their father. You have four great grandchildren, three boys and one girl. The boys are well on their way to becoming fine young men. Your great granddaughter is already grown into a sweet and intelligent young woman.

We have lost many more from our ranks. Terrible things have happened in the world and we are in a war, just like you in 1942.

I miss not having you around to ask for guidance and advice. Whenever I was with others who had their father I envied them. I will NEVER forget you. You are always in my prayers.

Love,

your son
