Grandpa, there are so many questions I would like to ask you, but you died so young. You barely got to meet your son, my father and the only way I know you is through pictures and a few stories. Even your grave marker has disappeared. Love you.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 101rst anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace
