I just found out that this hero was a constable on my department around 1895 before joining Dayton PD. I have a picture of PTL. Dalton on my memorial wall. Thank you for your noble service! God bless DPD and every Police Officer.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 114th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Grandpa, you are remembered every year for your courage and the family has carried your history because your daughter had presence of mind to save all the newspaper material that documented that horrible day. You are not just someone we imagine. We know you thru Grandma and her love for you and we continue to share your ultimate gift to community every May and in our own works within the community thru jobs and service. We are so proud of you. You are remembered by us all. Lovingly, Patty
