Your heroism and service is honored today, the 82nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace.

I said a little prayer today for Patrolman Coughlin and his family. He may be gone but never forgotten. He will always be a New York HERO.

Patrolman Richard J. Coughlin was my Grandfather. I never met him, or new anything about him until I discovered this memorial. Thank you, and God Bless all the fallen heroes of this city and country.

We just found this page. This is the first time I have ever seen my grandfather's name in print, or really heard the entire story of his death. Bless you for having this website!
