An Irish prayer to honor you. United in heaven with your daughter Marie, her son and my father Frank, and his son and my brother Paul, till we meet in eternity...

May you always walk in sunshine. May you never want for more. May Irish angels rest their wings right beside your door.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 89th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

How proud you must be that your family continued your legacy of protecting and serving.

Great Grandfather,

You were taken too early and my father, your grandson never told me about what happened until I was in my thirties, because it bothered him so much, even though he went on to serve for the Detroit Police Dept for 13 yrs. Your service was an inspiration for many.

Grandfather,
I think of the risks that police officers like yourself face on a daily basis. I am eternally grateful. I am also utterly sad. You were taken from this world far too soon. My grandfather, your son Keiran, was proud to follow in your footsteps. As a Detroit Police sergeant in the 10th precinct, he worked tirelessly to protect others. My Uncle Dan, your grandson who was named after you, likewise served proudly in the Detroit Police Department. I'm told that I resemble you. Though we never even had the privilege of meeting, you are a part of me. I'll always remember you for the HERO that you are. Eternal rest grant unto you, and let the perpetual light shine upon you.
Your great-grandson,
Patrick
