Reflections for City Marshal James Robert Cotner

Marshal Cotner, still out and about doing your job at 0200 hours at the age of 78. No question you were one tough guy and your murder a true loss to law enforcement.

It's now been 88 years and you are still honored here.

God Bless and may your rest continue in peace, Brother.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 82nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
