Much respect to my Grt Grt Uncle Thomas Colquitt, who left his birth country as a young man, to join and serve with the Lincoln Park District PD. Tragically to lose his life from being hit by a car, leaving behind a wife and 7 children. And a great loss to his family back home.

Thank you for your service you gave in protecting others and keeping yuor community safer.
I love that you, 102years on, and all other fallen officers are memorialised and remembered.

Grt Grt Niece, Perth, Australia.

Policeman Colquitt, we can only hope that your wife and children were able to get by after your death. Though you were not there for them physically, I cannot believe you were not kept by their sides and in their hearts and minds and that all of your descendants look upon you as a kind of spiritual guide.

God Bless you on this 101st anniversary of your sacrifice, I wish you eternal rest. God Bless, Brother.

The Lincoln Park District Police Department was made part of the Chicago Police Department in 1959. Prior to that time the parks and boulvards in the city were patrolled by the separate Park District department.

It may have been 96 years since your ultimate sacrifice but know that the CPD will not forget. Thank you.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 96th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never dimishes respect, not even 96 years.

Rest In Peace

mom of fallen officer Larry Lasater
