I never Met Sergeant Cloud but If there is anyway I can assist in the families hope for re admittance for a moving testimony, It's that people must have respected your father. One man that could open his door to anyone must have been a good man I feel angry at the Mob and This is a coward act. It's a shame that those other's involved couldn't have shown more well mannered leadership in there ranks. Than to go after a Officer of the law considering that. They claim there's so called laws in the Costra Notra. Hi Paris My name is Barry I was used as a child in a Homicide TPSD Cover up in the early 80's and I feel that these incidents may be connected in a large way I started in Toronto Ontario, Canada's Bomb Squad then transferred into the Task force, I left the force willfully but my life was desecrated by the sudden uprise in gangs in the 2000's. But I found a new Beginning as a painter a father and a motivator in the business world. I plan On also writing a number of books. Good Luck and be happy your friend from Canada, Barry K. Slimmon

I was in Tampa and knew a police officer who worked under him. I was glad to have men like Mr. Cloud protect me during my residence in Tampa 1973.

My father Detective Guy Woolweaver was a friend and a partner of Detective Cloud's and I remember how much my father loved him. My father tragically was shot by another hunter in Texas very shortly after Richard was killed. I have always thought my father's shooting was a planned hit but never had the proof. They were both very brave men. I continue to pray for Richard's family.

I remember when this happened. He was too good of a man and too young to have lost his life so soon! I was happy when the animal that shot him was executed!

Dick, Time just goes by so fast. You were a cops cop that really cared about people, your job and you loved your family. We had some good times at TPD. We did a lot of search warrants together. I remember the time you backed me up when I got in a fight at the courthouse, I still tell the story. I just retired from my 3rd dept. You were always my friend. God bless you and your family. Thanks for everything. Michael floyd, a friend forever.

Dickey, You and my father were partners and best friends for many years. We grew up with your children and our families gathering for many celebrations over the years. You were such a huge part of our lives and we reflect so often on how loosing you has changed so many lives. Dad tells so many stories of your days together on the streets and the crazy and brave things you did together. He has never been the same since loosing his best friend and partner. Just knowing how hard he worked to make sure justice was served in your name makes me proud.I pray for your family and think of you so often. RIP Julie williams

Although we never actually worked together Richard was a very popular member of our police family and very well liked and respected. He was a 24-7 policeman who took his job home with him instead of leaving it behind, after a tour of duty, like the rest of us! Anyone could see that he loved his work with a passion and was always on the move. Many times I'd meet him in the hallways of TPD and always had to walk and talk as he always had someplace to go! I always used to tell him to slow down but he always laughed at my suggestion. Even though so many years have gone by now, I can't help but think about him and the ultimate sacrifice he gave for all of us in the name of the law! I will always hold him in the highest of esteem as one of law enforcements finest!
