While perusing the ODMP and the "Today In History" section, as I try and do often, I came across a fellow Delaware officer who departed us too early and left a family while sacrificing for public safety. Patrolman Cloud, thank you for your service and on this 65th "anniversary" of your untimely departure know that your sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 57th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

We are very appreciative of the Delaware River and Bay Authority Police Department for remembering our father by naming their remodeled shoot range after him. We are honored and look forward to attending the recognition ceremony.
He was proud to be a police officer and represented the department with kindness and professionalism.

Officer Cloud, the sacrifice you made 50 years ago struck me tonight as I was reading through the memorials of fellow officers. The details of your passing are brief - but it is likely you had no warning that you were about to lose your life in the line of duty. Yet, it represents a fact for every officer in this nation. When you go to work, you may not return home - at least in this world. Thank you for the courage. God Bless.
