Your heroism and service is honored today, the 84th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I was proud to carry your picture during a police memorial service at the Gold Star memorial when I was a recruit. You are an inspiration to all officers.

It has been 83 years since your ultimate sacrifice but it will never be forgotten. You were a hero that day as you attempted to capture three suspects. You were a professional. You will not be forgotten. Thank you.
