Reflections for Chief of Police Jefferson A. Chason

Chief Chason
You exhibit the finest of what the law enforcement profession is and has been with your sacrifice. It is sad to note that your nephew also sacrificed his life in defense of the citizenry. Thanks to you and your nephew for honoring our profession and giving your life for the well being of others.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 102nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service to the native state of myself and my cherished son Larry Lasater who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace.
