Reflections for Police Officer David Lee

Officer Lee,

I'm so saddened to learn of your tragic loss. It angers me to think that you may not be dead, were it not for the irresponsible actions of our nations leaders. Rest in peace. I will pray for your wife and two children, as well as your friends, loved ones and colleagues.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God”. – Matthew 5:9

Officer Lee, your death is a crime on so many levels and probably could have been prevented. But it's too late for that and now, all we can do is keep your families at home and work, in our thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for your 18 years of dedicated service. God Bless you, Brother and may your eternal rest be ever peaceful.

"When he shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun."

From 'Romeo and Juliet' by William Shakespeare

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.

Our words will never say the sorrow we feel. May our Lord surround this Wife and Children, Family, Fellow Officers, and Friends with comfort to ease minds and calm hearts in the days to come. Officer Lee walked a very thin Blue Line. He did it because he put himself between us and danger. We are Grateful. God Bless You All.
