Rest in Peace brother and watch over us. We will protect and serve from here on in your honor.

I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, but tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.

Kyle, you were the best of us and showed us what it means to be a husband, father, friend, shift mate and partner. We're all so glad for the time we had with you. You'd probably get a kick out of knowing that all your dumb jokes are still being told and still making us shake our heads and smile. We love you bro. - P Shift

Officer Hicks, on that terrible day in which your life was ruthlessly taken from you by some evil person, you displayed heroism beyond the call of duty to keep our world a safe place. But without you, we are a little less safe. Saying thank you for your service would be an understatement and so I will leave it at this. Thank you so much for your actions of heroism that you displayed everyday to keep young people like me safe so that we have a future to look up to. My thoughts are going out to your department, family and friends as well as anyone else is grieving during this time. YOU ARE A HERO OFFICER HICKS. YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!
