Officer DiDato was a very dedicated and honorable man of service to our community- I am so sad and so sorry for this tragic loss. My thoughts and prayers to all of his family, friends, colleagues and community.
DiDato assisted me through an investigation during a very difficult situation that occurred in April of 2020, in the early stages of Covid when the world turned upside down. When in quarantine, DiDato hand-delivered paperwork to my home and traveled far distances to obtain evidence for the case. I will never forget his kindness and consideration. His persistence and dedication to serve and protect our community will forever be remembered.

Office Didatp, a police officer should be remembered not by how he died but by how he lived! A brave man has left to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you for your military and 22 years of law enforcement service, to your family, and to the East Fishkill Police Department. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!
