Lord God of unfailing love, to those families in our beloved nation, the United States of America, who are suffering in the wake of the loss of a law enforcement family member, help us to provide support. Allow us to be their rock and fortress in a time of immense pain and uncertainty. Help us to keep them safe and nourished in their time of grief, suffering beside them as we move toward healing and reconciliation. Lord God, in Your compassionate mercy, hear my prayer. In Christ Jesus, Your beloved Son, and by His authority, I pray. Amen.

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.

What I wouldn’t give to hear that laugh and see that smile again. Phil said it best, you always brightened the room. You were one of the most genuine and caring people I’ve ever known. You were always right where we needed you to be. Don’t cause too much trouble up there with Mickey. We miss you. We will certainly help take care of Lynette. Rest easy in the arms of our Lord my friend.

The smile and laughter of Officer Darrin McMichael will forever live on in my memory. Darrin was not only a co-worker, but a friend that I worked side by side with on the same patrol shift. Darrin had a sense of humor that was very entertaining, and I never saw him treat the people that he encountered on the job in a bad way. Darrin made the ultimate sacrifice too soon, as we all will make someday. Please remember this" life is uncertain, but death is sure". We never know the day nor the hour when your name will be called. Darrin's name was called on the morning of September 21, 2023. I will miss you my brother in blue. My heart is saddened by your sudden departure. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family.
