Officer Wallin,

Recent times have been hard on law enforcement. You are the second officer in training to be killed in the line of duty this month. I have a great deal of respect for young people who are selfless and desire to serve and protect others. You are one of those. You served to protect your fellow citizen while wearing this nation's uniform previously, and you continued that tradition as a police officer, protecting residents of Fargo. I've no doubt that many will miss you. I will pray for your family, friends, loved ones and colleagues. Rest in peace

We lost one more of many protectors of each one of us to keep us safe and punish the law breakers . Today we lost one more of many to sacrifice there lives for each one of us . We lost a hero when he was living he was a hero helping protecting each child of God from harm . We lost one more and it's sad to know that we lost a father a mother and brother sister and a son . It was not the fault of laws it was not the falt of his trying to inforce the laws of this land with out all of the herows in blue to keep us free .Thank you for your service . We lost another hero.

"Somebody killed a policeman today,
And a part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect
Will be buried with him at his side.
The suspect who shot him will stand up in court,
With counsel demanding his rights,
While a young widowed mother must work for her kids
And spend alone many long nights.
The beat that he walked was a battlefield, too,
Just as if he'd gone off to war.
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half mast,
To his name they will add a gold star.
Yes, somebody killed a policeman today,
It happened in your town or mine.
While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors,
A cop put his life on the line.
Now, his ghost walks a beat on a dark city street,
And he stands at each new rookie's side.
He answered the call and gave us his all,
And a part of America died."

O God of Peace, so many of America’s Peace Officers who are on the front lines to protect us never make it back home to their families. We pray for these fallen law enforcement officers, Lord God, who gave their lives for us. We pray for the families of these heroes, who have to now endure life without their loved one. Lord God, society tries to move forward, but there is always bloodshed occurring. We approach Your throne of glory and grace to beg of You for peace. Lord God, bring peace to this land – the United States of America. We plead for Your divine intervention to quiet our hearts and unify our communities. Stop the violence that occurs amid our cities. We thank You for all America’s Peace Officers who have died protecting us, and ask that You send an everlasting peace so that America’s Peace Officers on the streets may be safe and return home to their loved ones at the end of their assigned shifts. In Christ Jesus, Your blessed Son, I pray. Amen.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [children] of God.” [Matthew 5:9 ESV]

Way too young, you had not even been given a chance to live and show the citizens of Fargo what you had been called to service for. A police officer should be remembered not by how he died but by how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family, and the New York State Police. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!

Police Officer Jake Wallin, it is very difficult to read of your murder here at the hands of this criminal. I am so deeply sorry that your young life was just stolen from all those that love and care about you by this senseless act of violence against First Responders. I thank you for your military service and your service to all of us. May you be wrapped in the arms of our Dear Lord where you are safe now. Rest In Peace, Brother.
