Reflections for Sergeant Cory Maynard

Thank you for your service, Cory to the State of West Virginia, Mingo County and our hometown, Williamson. Another good man mowed down senselessly and for what reason….the lawless people that our country is quickly becoming and because of this a man was robbed of his life with his family….why? Because he fought the good fight. Prayers and love for your dear family now and from now on as they deal with life without you. Rest easy, Sargeant Cory Maynard, as you await the call of Jehovah to come forth. John 5:28, 29

Sergeant Maynard,

It's been a couple of hard days. You are the second officer to lose his life in the line of duty. Thank you for your service to the people of the State of West Virginia, and for your dedication to protecting lives of people you don't even know. I will pray for your family, friends, loved ones, and colleagues. Rest in peace.

Greater love has no one than this, that a person will lay down his life for his friends. - John 15:13

Basta ya a tanta criminalidad.
Los policías son seres humanos que dejan a sus familias para cuidar las del pueblo y les han perdido el respeto.
Dios Santo acompañalos todos los días.

"Somebody killed a policeman today,
And a part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect
Will be buried with him at his side.
The suspect who shot him will stand up in court,
With counsel demanding his rights,
While a young widowed mother must work for her kids
And spend alone many long nights.
The beat that he walked was a battlefield, too,
Just as if he'd gone off to war.
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half mast,
To his name they will add a gold star.
Yes, somebody killed a policeman today,
It happened in your town or mine.
While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors,
A cop put his life on the line.
Now, his ghost walks a beat on a dark city street,
And he stands at each new rookie's side.
He answered the call and gave us his all,
And a part of America died."
