I had the pleasure of knowing Trooper Bailey for the past twenty years. To say everyone who knew him is devastated, would be an understatement. A devoted father and husband, a great friend, and a damn good cop. I can remember him taking chemo treatments and then going to work, because he loved his job so much. Sympathy to his family and friends.

Rest in Peace brother and watch over us. We will protect and serve from here on in your honor.

I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, but tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.

By Jon F. Hooper

"Greater love hath no man than this; that a man lay down his life for his friends."

Master Trooper Bailey was what every law enforcement officer should strive to be. On March 03, 2023, MT Bailey was assisting in moving over traffic as myself and another officer were handling a slide off in the median. We were in a bad location and MT Bailey positioned himself at the crest of the hill to slow traffic down and to get traffic over. MT Bailey was protecting us that day and gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect us. This day marked the worst day of my career, probably my life. I held onto MT Bailey's hand until he was transported. He was an amazing friend, an amazing Trooper, and I will never forget him and his funny memes and texts that always made me laugh. Rest in Peace brother, thank you for protecting us that day, thank you for your service.
