Rest easy my brother. Christmas must’ve been unimaginably hard for your family and will forever be tarnished by your passing. It’s situations like this that make me think about why I’m doing this. Someone has to step up and face the evil in this world. I’ll continue in your honor. We’ve got the watch from here brother. You may rest in peace.

God of Justice, I am grateful for the lives and sacrifices of all America’s Peace Officers. They died serving us. Help us never forget. Help us celebrate their lives and honor their sacrifices. Be with the families of these fallen peace officers. Comfort them and give them Your strength and peace. Guide us as we seek to take care of the families of these fallen heroes. May we care for them with integrity. In commemorating the deaths of these fallen heroes, help us also to remember that death is not the end. Death does not have the final say, but is simply the transition from this earthly life to the heavenly life yet to come. This assurance was guaranteed to all believers upon the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. We look forward to that life to come with joy and anticipation. Thank You, Lord God, for hearing this prayer. In the mighty and holy name of Christ Jesus, Your dear Son, I pray. Amen.

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” [Psalm 23:4 ESV]

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” [John 3:16 ESV]

Rest in Peace brother and watch over us. We will protect and serve from here on in your honor.

I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, but tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.

By Jon F. Hooper

Why is America numb to the fact that Police Officers and Sheriff deputies, as well as all law enforcement, are in harm's way 24/7/365 ? We need these violence issues addressed. Courts have to act and legislatures have to give law enforcement and society more protection by taking crime and mental health issues more seriously. I believe these issues are at the forefront of what plagues society, as a whole today ! It's not acceptable when a law enforcement officer or civilian is murdered. We do not accept this as inevitable, when we pin on the tin. Or reside in our communities. God Bless you deputy Corporal Ray Hamilton and your family. As well as your agency and it's officers. I am saddened having to write this reflection. Government agencies which enact law, take note. Corporal Hamilton lost his life on Christmas eve. This is heartbreaking. Protect those who protect us.
