Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Border Patrol Agent Raul Humberto Gonzalez, Jr.

Heavenly Father, You are Compassionate and Merciful. None of America’s Peace Officers leave home without the fear of not returning at the end of their watch. It is a fear that is lived daily. Unfortunately, the worst does sometimes come to pass, and lives are left shattered. Lord God, bless and keep the hearts and souls of those who have lost loved ones in the line of duty. Wipe away the tears from their eyes. Soothe their pain and bind up their emotional wounds through the wounds of Your beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. In His name, I pray. Amen.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [children] of God.” [Matthew 5:9 ESV]

“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” [Isaiah 6:8 ESV]

On behalf of Raul's children, I would like to thank you for the outpouring love. I knew Raul for 20 years as he was married to my sister. He was the kindest person and I knew. Always looking after his kids and wanting the best for them. His kids really needed him.

The last couple of days have been extremely difficult and I am sure it won't get any easier from here. I will be sharing the beautiful messages to his children and family as I am sure it will help them grieve as it has helped me. A Go Fund me page under the name of "Sebastian & Camila's Future" has been set up by his Border Patrol coworkers for the children. Although it won't replace their father it may help them in the future for college or other endeavors they pursue.

I happened to stumble on this link through a Twitter post and I so glad I did. Words cannot express how thankful we are to the law enforcement community for all the kind words. Thank you

Terrible that our senile regime in power now could care less about all our brave warriors and never give them the respect they deserve. This is a very tragic loss of our brave Border Patrol officers who give all they have ln order to keep our country safe. Unfortunately. Our heartless government just doesn’t care. We in Law Enforcement know that this brave warrior is truly missed by all. May God bless you and your family and please know we loveband will honor you till the end of time. To your family, always know you are also in our hearts. Semper Fi and Rest in Peace true warrior. ❤️

Rest in Peace brother and watch over us. We will protect and serve from here on in your honor.

I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, But tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.
