Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Michael Hartwick

It is especially painful for those of us who have worn a Deputy' Star to see such an experienced and seasoned Deputy Sheriff killed. Equally painful is the fact that he was so near retirement and would have been able to spend his remaining years among a loving family and friends who will now mourn his passing, a passing too soon in the coming. Our prayers are with the soul of the departed as he takes his place among his Fallen Brothers in the Honor Guard of Our Lord. We also pray for his family that they may always treasure his loving memory and perhaps, through God's grace, come to forgive.
