Reflections for Police Officer Dillon Micheal Vakoff

Officer Dillon Michael Vakoff, I am truly heartbroken to read the details here of your murder at the hands of a coward. Your young life has been stolen from all of us. You served our country both in the military and in our Police department and I thank you for that. Our society is so broken that someone would take your life in this way.
I pray that our Heavenly Father has opened His arms to you and granted you a seat beside Him. Rest in Peace, Brother.

I was driven to this account. Daily ... and some say that if a cop is afraid, he should not take the job. I should not dignify. Grant the kid eternal rest, O Lord.

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family, and the Arvada Police Department. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!
