Prayers for this Troopers family. We as Troopers know that each stop is a different one, ballon could go up on any one of those. But our brothers in the sky, Trooper, Detective or any other, this just floors you. It hurts all the way around, but myself being a 2nd generation Trooper when a Trooper falls it feels like a burned out star has crashed into the earth.

We thank you for your devotion and your sacrifices, and also to your family and friends for their sacrifices. Heavenly Father, I pray for the families of all law enforcement officers who have been killed in the Line-of-Duty and I thank you for their sacrifices. Bless the lives of their families so they might find healing. Help their law enforcement departments and agencies support their families. Even though their deaths might have been senseless, make something good come out of these situations so that their departments, agencies and communities, counties, states or nation, the United States of America, in which they lived and worked, might be stronger because of their lives and their deaths. In Christ Jesus’ mighty and holy name, I pray. Amen.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [children] of God.” [Matthew 5:9 ESV]

Difficult to write this especially given the fact that my team and I likely owe or lives to you. If you hadn’t been our Blue Angel in the air providing overwatch that night in 2015 I might not be here today. We were heading straight into an ambush before you spotted the suspect and re-directed us. The ensuing gunfight ended well for us and no so much for the suspect. Thankfully because of Sgt. Russell we were in a position to prevail.
It was crushing news to hear about the crash yesterday afternoon. Everyone on SWAT was calling each other recalling how you saved us that night. Our deepest condolences are with THP and your family. Prayers have been and will continue for God to comfort them during this incredible loss. RIP brother
