I was the other M.P. with Sgt. Andy Leon the night we both were shot in Korea. I was lucky to survive and capture the assassin and he went to prison for the rest of his life. I have always missed Andy, as he was one of a kind. Happy, always smiling, kind to everyone, and helpful to anyone that asked.

Thank you Andy for being there for all of us "Rakkasans."

On today, the 69th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country-not just in Korea but during World War II as well-especially as a member of the 187th Airborne Infantry Regiment -the “Rakkasans!” And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

SFC Leon: Thanks for your service to this great nation. As former paratrooper I am familiar with the 187th Airborne Infantry Regiment. It was an elite unit which saw a lot of action during the Korean and Viet Nam Wars. Your sacrifice is appreciated by your brothers and sisters who have and continue to wear the badge. I hope that you family endured and are doing well. "Airborne All The Way"
