It is a terrible thing indeed to see such fine men fall in the line of duty due to a murderer's hand. We feel deeply for the families of these dedicated officers who have given their lives in service to the people of the Commonwealth. The families always serve along- side their officers and share both their joys and their sorrows. This is now a time of great sorrow, but may it soon turn into a time of thanksgiving as these heroes rise to Heaven. May Almighty God take the souls of these brave officers to be with Him in His Kingdom. May they even now join their Brothers who have gone before them and who now welcome them to take their places in the Honor Guard for our Lord. Rest in peace, Brothers. Your families will surely see you again.

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family, and the Floyd County Sheriff's Office. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!
