Patrolman Fitzgerald, thank you for your service to the City of Boston and in general to the Citizens of the Commonwealth. Though your murderer was never truly held accountable by the courts, I feel comfortable in believing he face true justice at a later time, if not in this world, then in the next.

I thank GOD that the city granted your widow the requested pension and would have been incensed had they not granted it, not that my anger would do any good. It was the truly just thing to do.

God Bless you, Brother and may you continue to forever Rest in Peace.
