A police officer should be remembered not by how she died but how she lived! A great woman has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family, and the Harris County Constable's Office - Precinct 7. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Sister!

It will be a very sad Easter for the family of Harris County, Texas Deputy Constable Jennifer Chavis as she was killed by a drunk driver. The Constables Office of Harris County, TX and all of Harris County, Texas mourns the loss of this fabulous law enforcement officer who was killed in the line of duty by a drunk driver who did not have any right to be out on the road at all. My condolences to the family and to the Harris County, TX Constable's Office at this time of a tragic loss.
